The first depicts the group who designed the AI alphabet, as the name suggests. The second shows prominent figures in the AI field seated together on a suspended steel beam, reminiscent of the photograph “Lunch atop a Skyscraper.”

The eight individuals on the cover are: Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta; Lisa Su, CEO of AMD; Elon Musk, CEO of xAI; Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA; Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI; Demis Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind; Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic; and Fei-Fei Li, an AI researcher dubbed the “Queen of AI.”

TIME stated that the past year has seen the fastest possible development of AI, creating numerous impacts and raising concerns about its uncertain future. The Person of the Year award recognizes all those involved in designing the future structure of AI. Source: TIME via BBC
