Xiaomi has denied plans to bring the SU7 to the US market.

-

Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun stated that the company currently has no plans to enter the US automotive market, following photos of a Xiaomi SU7 Max being driven on I-5 in California with local test license plates. He said the vehicle may have been purchased by a competitor or US supplier for comparison purposes, rather than being part of any market entry plan.

Previously, Xiaomi chairman Lu Weibing stated that the company plans to expand its automotive business into overseas markets starting in 2027.
