DJI’s new Osmo Action 6 sports camera has been leaked online, revealing major upgrades with a variable aperture lens of f/2.0–f/4.0 and a 1/1.1-inch stacked CMOS sensor, previously co-developed with Sony.
DJI announced a new product launch on November 13th, with press releases pointing to a variable aperture camera, presumably the Osmo Action 6, a successor to the Osmo Action 4 and Action 5 Pro.
This new sensor has a light-receiving area of nearly 40% increased compared to the previous model. It enhances low-light performance and offers a dynamic range of over 13 stops. It supports 8K 30fps video with HDR and ProRes encoding, as well as 5.3K 60fps and 4K 120fps recording.
Other features are reportedly included: a 1950mAh battery with up to 4 hours of use, IP68 water resistance up to 20 meters, 64GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and a new smartwatch connectivity function for remote control.
