Alibaba CEO Eddie Wu said at the 2025 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen that the company is investing heavily in large-scale AI infrastructure and developing a “super AI cloud” to provide top-tier AI services to developers worldwide.

He added that more than 20.7% of developers in Alibaba’s ModelScope (“Moda”) community come from small teams of fewer than 50 members, with 13.7% being independent developers. The platform’s “Creation Space” channel has approximately 23,000 AI applications across more than 20 industries, with approximately 95% created by individual developers.
